Exhibitions by students of the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) are a tradition at the university from year 1995. The gallery is currently located in the EKA’s new building at Põhja puiestee 7 since 2018.
The academy building is a partially renovated and completed building of a former factory. The gallery exhibits the work of students whose knowledge is based on tradition and innovation. The gallery is a spacious bright room with white walls. And the academy building itself has a triangular shape.
For binding, I used the traditional tapestry weaving technique, this is a metaphor for the basis on which stuidents knowledge is built. The book covered with white leather, for the durability and also to emphasize the style of the gallery. The book have a triangular shape, as a academy building.
