Zero waste conception
I had a unique opportunity to create a joint project with my favorite stylist. Marion Laev is the head of Estonian Academy of Art's fashion stylistics department, stylist and fashion curator.
As part of the project, we studied the technique of origami. Inspired by folding, architectural and sculptural forms,  Сhristo and Jeanne-Claude project that took place at the same time in Paris, Marion and I decided to create a frameless dress for any figure.
The folds on the leatherette were cut with a laser. The framelessness is ensured by button fasteners, with which you can adjust the size. Small seams hold the shape of the dress. For the dress, we used a rectangular piece of fabric that we used up without any leftovers.
